Directions

Melt Butter.
In a saucepan, add 2 tbsp of butter, melt it. When it starts melting add sugar. Do not boil the butter.

Beat / Whisk the Egg
In a mixing bowl, break the egg and whisk it. Whisk the egg until it is thick and lemon coloured.

Preparing the batter
To the whisked egg, add the melted butter and sugar mixture. Mix it well. Now add 2 tbsp apricot jam, 1 tsp vanilla essence.
Blend well all the ingredients. To the mixing bowl, sieve 1 cup cake flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp baking powder, 1 pinch salt, mix well for a smooth consistency batter.

Baking the pudding
Preheat the oven to 180℃. Pour the prepared batter into the baking dish greased with butter.
Spread the batter evenly. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the pudding is firm and golden brown.

While the pudding is in the oven, add ¼ cup water, 3 tbsp butter, ¾ cup sugar into a saucepan and boil on a medium flame.
Once it starts to boil, add 1 tsp vanilla essence, ½ cup cream, and boil it. Keep stirring the contents and remove from heat.

Once the pudding is baked, make holes all over the hot pudding using a fork or screw. Pour the warm sauce all over the pudding.
