  • 2 cup water
  • 2 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp tea powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 ginger pieces of 1 inch
  • 2 cinnamon sticks (medium sized)
  • 2-3 green cardamom
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 muslin cloth

Recipe Instructions: 1. In a glass, add lukewarm water Using a rubber band or string, tie the muslin cloth around the glass. 2. Dip the muslin cloth inside the glass such that the cloth slightly touches the water. 3. After that Put sugar, tea powder, cinnamon, star anise, cardamom, and clove over the cloth. 4. Slightly dunk the cloth in the glass of water in a pressure cooker, add two cups of water, carefully place the glass inside it. 5. Bring the pressure cooker for 2 whistles Let it cool down for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and take out the glass. 6. Squeeze tightly the muslin cloth along with the spices into the glass. You will get a bright colored concoction. 7. Take a saucepan, pour the prepared concoction into it Bring it to a boil and add milk to it. 8. Stir well and the Dum Chai is ready to enjoy.
